The Apartment

The apartment is about 575 square feet and has a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and utility room.  As can be seen from the pictures, it is fully furnished.  What you don't see pictured are linens, cookware, dishes, glasses, flatware, etc.

    The doorway to the apartment

The open door beyond the apartment door leads to a walkway that goes around the garage.  Access to the apartment is either through the garage or along that walkway.  At night it is illuminated by floodlights on photo cells and motion sensors.

       The living room

The living room has a TV, satellite tuner, and DVD player.  There is a desk where a computer may be placed and the apartment is connected to the high-speed internet connection in the house.

        The kitchen

The kitchen has a microwave, toaster oven, electric range, and refrigerator.

       The bedroom

The bedroom has a queen bed, dresser with mirror, night stands and lamps, and a clock radio.

       The bathroom

The bathroom is small but complete with and was remodeled recently.

        The utility room

The utility room has a washer and a dryer, iron and ironing board, etc.

   And for those beautiful days there is a patio

The walkway that can be seen at the lower right is the one that comes around the garage and goes to the outer door.  On its way it passes roses, lavender, and a variety of herbs that grow just outside the apartment window.

When we repaved the driveway we also had a parking pad put in near the garage. This is where the folks living in the apartment can park one or two cars.
