Our Home in Frisco Texas

The picture of the house was taken after completion of major changes to the landscaping. We had two Live Oaks in the parkway and one in the front yard and had them all removed. The parkway trees were replaced with Shantung Maples and new planter beds were installed on both sides of the parkway, both sides of the front yard and along the west side of the house.

As was mentioned earlier, we moved in on the 5th of May in 2017. There were some things that needed attention. The interior walls were a little too dark for us, so we had the entire interior repainted in a much lighter color. The hardwood floors were VERY dark and so deeply scraped that walking on them in bare feet was like walking on tree bark. All three bedrooms and the computer room were carpeted and we hate carpeting. So we had all the carpet removed and new hardwoods installed, had the entire floor surface sanded down to smooth, had a much lighter scrape done and had a much lighter shade of stain applied. We had done well enough on the sale of our Lakewood home that we could afford to make the changes we wanted.

The house has an outdoor cooking area in a covered part of the patio and we planned to make good use of it. However, for some odd reason when it was installed they did not pave the enclosed are below.

We had concrete poured in that area to make it much more useable. Now we were able to store things there that would be used in that part of the patio and when cooking. There is a two burner gas cook top and a four burner barbeque area. We bought the motor and spit to be able to roast chickens and legs of lamb out there.
