The Hendersons       2011 S2KCA North Cascades Highway Tour

    

 
I think Ray, our fearless leader, does this tour every year just as soon as the North Cascades Highway opens. It gets enough snow that it is closed during the winter. The scenery is spectacular and the drive is not too bad either.

          The Skagit River is pretty wild in places

    The temperatures were pretty pleasant

    The temperature of the water in the lake is probably NOT so pleasant

    There was still lots of snow to be seen

    Did I mention the snow?

    Nice turnout for a very enjoyable event.
