Our Home in Lakewood Washington

The picture of the house was taken before the garden really came alive.  When the rhododendrons and azaleas are in bloom the garden is a mass of color.  Just a few more weeks later the irises  go crazy.  The house definitely takes a back seat at this time of year.  This is not a time when we want to stay inside, especially on nice days when the sun is bright and the temps warm.

Our home was certainly much larger than it would need to be for just two people.  However, when our two sons and our daughter-in-law were home for Christmas, or when we had friends over for Boxing Day, we filled it up.  It was a very comfortable and inviting place and we really enjoyed it.  On this page you will find images of the interior of the house.

There is an apartment at the back of the garage.  It has been used as a Nanny's Quarters and as a Mother-in-Law Apartment, and it has been rented.  The apartment is fully furnished and pictures of it can be seen by clicking the thumbnail below.

        The kitchen - we love to cook and this kitchen is great for that, even for four or five cooks. On Boxing Day everyone just seems to stay in here.

    The computer room is lightly used and could be converted to another bedroom.
